الاحتلال يستهدف طواقم بلدية غزة العاملين في تشغيل آبار المياه
بلدية غزة تعلن عجزها عن الاستمرار في العمل
استهدف الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، اليوم الأربعاء الموافق الثالث والعشرين من أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 2024، في تمام الساعة (07:00) صباحًا، موظفي بلدية غزة العاملين في تشغيل آبار مياه الصفا، مما أدى إلى استشهاد اثنين وإصابة ثلاثة آخرين من موظفي البلدية، وهم:
خالد محمد كامل مقاط (49 عام) – شهيد
عبد الغفار خضر عبد الغفار الجدبة (34 عام) – شهيد
منير عبد المجيد رزق حبيب (52 عام) – مصاب
رائد محمد إسماعيل أبو الكاس (50 عام) – مصاب
خالد جبر محمد حرارة (55 عام) – مصاب
وأمام هذه الجريمة النكراء، تنعى بلدية غزة شهداءها الأبطال، وتعزي عائلاتهم كما تدعو بالشفاء العاجل للجرحى والمصابين. كما تؤكد على ما يلي:
تدين البلدية بشدة استمرار استهداف قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لموظفي بلدية غزة المدنيين أثناء قيامهم بواجبهم المهني في خدمة المواطنين، رغم الإمكانيات المحدودة والمخاطر العالية.
تطالب البلدية المجتمع الدولي بإجراء تحقيق فوري في جريمة استهداف موظفيها، الذين يُعدّون ضمن موظفي الإغاثة، علمًا بأن المكان المستهدف هو أحد الآبار المنسّق لها مع الاحتلال ويتم تزويده بالوقود بشكل دوري. حيث كان الموظفون يقومون بتشغيل آبار مياه الصفا.
تناشد البلدية الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية بالتدخل العاجل لحماية موظفيها الذين يعملون في تقديم الخدمات الأساسية للمواطنين.
تحذر البلدية من عدم قدرتها على تقديم الخدمات الأساسية في المدينة، نتيجة هذه الاستهدافات غير المبررة والمتكررة لموظفي ومرافق البلدية، مما قد يعرض حياة المواطنين للخطر بسبب توقف الخدمات الأساسية كالمياه والصرف الصحي وجمع النفايات.
ختاما، تؤكد بلدية غزة أنها مؤسسة خدماتية مدنية تعمل على تقديم الخدمات الأساسية للمواطنين وأن طواقمها محمية بالقوانين والأنظمة الدولية.

Gaza Municipality Declares Inability to Continue Providing Services
On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 7:00 AM, Israeli occupation forces targeted Gaza Municipality employees operating the Safa water wells. This attack resulted in the death of two employees and injuries to three others. The victims are:
Khaled Mohammed Kamel Maqat (49 years old) – Martyred.
Abdel Ghafar Khidr Abdel Ghafar Al-Jadba (34 years old) – Martyred.
Munir Abdel Majid Rizk Habib (52 years old) – Injured
Raed Mohammed Ismail Abu Al-Kass (50 years old) – Injured
Khaled Jabr Mohammed Harara (55 years old) – Injured
In response to this heinous crime, Gaza Municipality mourns the loss of its staff members and extends its deepest condolences to their families. The municipality also wishes a speedy recovery to the injured. Gaza Municipality emphasizes the following:
The municipality strongly condemns the continued targeting of its civilian employees by Israeli occupation forces while they were performing their duties to serve the citizens, despite limited resources and high risks.
Gaza Municipality calls on the international community to immediately investigate the crime of targeting its employees, who are classified as relief workers. The targeted site is one that has been coordinated with the occupation forces for fuel supply. The employees were engaged in operating the Safa water wells at the time of the attack.
Gaza Municipality urges the United Nations and international organizations to intervene urgently to protect its employees, who have been tirelessly working to provide essential services to the citizens.
The municipality warns that it will be unable to continue providing essential services in the city due to these unjustified and repeated attacks on its employees and civic buildings. This disruption poses a serious risk to citizens' lives, as critical services such as water supply, sewage management, and waste collection may be halted.
