Sanitation Worker Martyred, Two Colleagues Injured While on Duty

A municipal employee was martyred and two of his colleagues from the Sanitation Department of Gaza Municipality were injured this afternoon while performing their duties in the southern Al-Rimal neighborhood, near the 17th Roundabout in the southwestern part of Gaza City.

The martyr has been identified as:
Mohammed Riyad Mohammed Mousa, 42 years old

Gaza Municipality mourns the loss of Mohammed Riyad Mousa and extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones, praying that God Almighty grants them patience and strength. The Municipality also wishes a swift and full recovery to the injured.

Gaza Municipality affirms that it is a civilian service institution and that its teams are protected under international laws and conventions.

The Municipality urgently calls on the international community to take immediate action to protect its employees and to enable them to continue delivering essential services to the public.
