Childhood Appeal

This year, as the anniversary of Palestinian Child Day passes, our children are not celebrating like children around the world. Instead, they are being brutally killed by the Israeli occupation and denied their most basic rights, guaranteed by international conventions as well as divine and humanitarian laws.

This occasion comes as our children face killings, massacres, and terror at the hands of the Israeli occupation. They are deprived of education, healthcare, food, sleep, and the right to live in dignity.

The Israeli occupation has destroyed the Childhood Happiness Center, along with schools, kindergartens, and playgrounds, in addition to killing thousands of children in the ongoing genocide against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Our children have the right to live in peace and security like children everywhere, and to have access to all the basic necessities of childhood, including education and healthcare.

The children of Palestine cry out to the conscience of the world, urging immediate action to save them from this genocide, which has claimed the lives of approximately 18,000 children and injured thousands more.

We, at the Childhood Happiness Center of Gaza Municipality, appeal to the international community and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to act urgently and rescue the children of Palestine from this genocide, and to provide the critical needs that the Israeli occupation continues to deny them.
